Alexandre Kinney, Founding Architect at ALEXANDRE KINNEY ARCHITECT PLLC

With ten years of experience in the architecture and construction industry, Alexandre Kinney founded ALEXANDRE KINNEY ARCHITECT PLLC in 2025 with the goal of creating spaces that uplift and inspire people in their daily lives.

While working for top firms in New Hampshire, Boston, Los Angeles, and Montreal, Alexandre contributed to the design of a wide range of project types, including public schools, university laboratory buildings, corporate headquarters, residential and commercial developments, private residences, park visitor facilities, and fountain and landscape experiences. He worked on both new construction and renovations, from initial concept design through construction administration, with a particular emphasis on adaptive reuse, interior design, and landscape projects.

Alexandre’s favorite part of the design process is creating the initial concept: meeting with the client, visiting the site, conducting contextual research for design inspiration and to determine site constraints, and synthesizing ideas and requirements into a design proposal. Alexandre believes concept design is one of the most important stages of any project, as it establishes the guiding principles for future design decisions.

Alexandre holds a 5-year professional Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University, with honors and graduating second in his class, and a post-professional Master of Architecture in Architectural History and Theory from McGill University. He has taught interior architecture as an Adjunct Professor at Endicott College, and he has taught conceptual design to high schoolers in the Sasaki Foundation’s SEED internship program. He is a licensed architect.
